Board testing: Thumbs up

Video? That was so last week. Thankfully things are always rolling behind the scenes, HD eye candy or no HD eye candy. And Craig spake:

I hope to have a more recent prototype, with the MP nubs this coming week.

So the last one is old news.

The board tests look good. A bigger run is about to happen, the boards from this run will be used in final consoles.

  1. Not first.

Sounds like fun. We are coming to a close people. Maybe we should work extra hard on the Space rts…

  2. This is great news. Now we can all be friends again like in Hitchcock’s Lifeboat. πŸ™‚

    Congratulations Pandora team.

  3. When do you think the pandora will go into final production.

  4. ~Yay! its my birthday today, shame it didn’t say, thumbs up, pandoras shipping.

Keep on going Craig & Co!

  5. ^ happy b day πŸ˜›

on to the somewhat more serious matter, awesome news guy! i would just like to say this site is great, keep up the good findings πŸ˜›

  6. Hope the final big run through and test works good so they can enter MP.
Either way i praise the OP team for the hard work they have put when it is so difficult as a small company.
    Keep up the good work.

  7. This is good feedback. Hopefully we will get a similar update on the hinge work soon.

  8. Excellent news

  9. This is excellent news, but why aren’t there more comments than this ?

  10. To be honest; I’m uncertain if this is excellent news or just something too expect after all these months.

  11. Hey, let me the first to say it.

So, we’re only about 2 months from delivery πŸ˜‰

  12. How many times have we been told one thing and revealed another? Anywhere else you would hear, “Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me”

Truthfully the ONLY (and I seriously mean ONLY) reason people still tolerate this type of behavior is there is ZERO other products out like the Pandora.

You slowly start to see people coming up with things they are okay “settling” with. “Well this netbook has an ARM chip in it, no game controls, but whatever. This will do.”

If one company beat OP to a Pandora clone, I wouldn’t be surprised if most people jumped ship.

The boy can only cry wolf so many times. I think we are all just tired of waiting two months to see if he was lying.

  13. I wouldn’t jump ship; the reason is because the Pandora clone’s company would not be as open and the community behind the gp32/2x/wiz/pandora scene is just too good to leave behind. And it is highly doubtful that any devs working on Pandora software would just stop. They might also develop for the clone, but they wouldn’t leave the Pandora. So neither would I.

  14. Yarrr, gimme me loot now, even though I agreed to wait, or walk the plank! Arr.

  15. Hurry I’m getting impatient. Need a new gadget to play with. Great newz btw πŸ™‚

  16. @Anon2
what a complete generalization. as stated before, we have a community behind the machine and excellent developers. if some pandora clone existed, it would probably be sold by another company at a considerably higher price. when you say “most” people, do you mean the community, or just customers in general? some customers might, but a large majority of the community would not. we’re not waiting 2 months to see if they’re lying. please do some more research before trying to guess everyone’s opinion.

  17. when you say β€œmost” people, do you mean the community, or just customers in general? some customers might (jump ship), but a large majority of the community would not.

  18. I was starting to get a little impatient, but I just got a Supergun to tied me over until then.

  20. keep things rolling along, guys… happy to see forward motion

  21. I’m thinking of ordering the av cable since they got extras now.

  22. So its JUST the case then? XD
