The roadmap is back. Unofficially, anyway. With the case mould a good fortnight into production, it looks like the dreaded Two Months meme may have finally breathed its last. But these things are easy to miss if you don’t drop by daily, so now there’s a one-click status page for those flying visits. We’ll do our best to keep it current, and well sourced. After 2 long weeks GP32X.com is back with a bunch of fancy new features. It’s lightning fast at the moment, but might not stay that way as more people begin to come back.
Some of you may have heard of Google Latitude, the mobile (and now web) service that allows you to broadcast your location with friends, via phone signals. Well, now there is a way to use Latitude on the web, provided you have Firefox, WiFi and iGoogle. Google calculates your position through triangulation and your Wifi signal.
Guess where this is going? Guess what the Pandora has? That’s right, WiFi and Firefox!
So, effectively, you’ll be able to hook up to a Wifi hotspot in a city, log on to iGoogle on the Pandora, and share your location with friends, without suffering network costs! Pretty cool (and a terrifying invasion of privacy) eh?
This one’s nothing Pandora specific, but is the first video made by a community member, Esn. I think it’s so cool that it deserves a wider audience and due to the seasonal content it might not get that audience for long. Again, if you like this video please express your love on the thread. The video is entitled One Quiet Winter Night.
It’s interesting to see where the referrers are for the blog. Most come from mazza558’s post and links in sigs.
After that we are getting a fair amount of traffic from alphainventions.com and Netvibes.com. alphainventions is likely to be bringing external traffic – so hi to any newcomers from there! Netvibes is, amongst others things a very good feed reader and an excellent way of storing all your bookmarks on the internet. You can have a nice set up that shows various columns and a magazine format. When used in Firefox in a separate tab you can see how man new feeds there are unread. Worth a try and is my favourite because of the great bookmarks feature.
We are also listed in the information index – which is nice to see that this blog has been recognised as a valuable resource. With over 1200 visits so far today, something must be right. Please feel free to put the links on other sites.

We will also have our own custom Gentoo Pandora Portage library for Pandora community projects and custom builds to maintain compatibility with the official distro release(s).
Squidge has confirmed that you can only charge via USB when the Pandora is off – I don’t think this is totally new but it’s worth knowing.
It should be noted however that you will only be able to charge the Pandora via USB when the device is Off. USB doesn’t supply enough power (~500mA) to both charge the battery and power the system at the same time.
